Here’s another example of a frock that is true vintage now, but was retro when it was made. Some of the things I’ve been finding recently are so surprising and rare.. . . Maggie London made some very pretty Eighties does Forties dresses in silk and I was happy to find this one!
I have several of these wrap dresses from the 1940’s – 1950’s in my own closet. It was a popular style of the time and is super-flattering and very convenient. The fit is always good and comfortable.
Of course, the real old, old ones are my favorite, but there are some 1980’s fashions that are worth collecting. This is one of them. Though it’s not funky, it’s still a part of the New Wave trend that was going on then.
